The Copywriter will develop conceptual ideas and messaging based on briefs and strategic inputs, creating compelling copy across various marketing channels, and maintaining the brand voice and tone for clients. The role also includes conducting research to understand client needs and target audiences, staying updated with industry trends, and collaborating with creative teams, account managers, and SEO teams to develop cohesive campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Development & Writing
- Developing conceptual ideas and messaging based on briefs and strategic inputs.
- Creating compelling copy across all marketing channels, including websites, email campaigns, blogs, video scripts, digital and print ads, packaging, naming, and tagline development and more.
- Developing and maintaining the brand voice and tone for assigned clients and quickly adapting to new clients’ voices when needed.
- Revising copy based on feedback from clients and internal teams.
- Research
- Using creative briefs, account management direction, and independent research to understand client needs and target audiences.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to copywriting, content creation and optimization.
- Collaboration
- Working with creative team and account managers to brainstorm, develop concepts, and deliver final products.
- Working with cross-functional teams, including account managers, strategists, and content creators, to take direction and develop cohesive campaigns.
- Partnering with SEO teams to incorporate best practices and relevant keywords into content.
- Editing & Proofreading
- Ensuring all content is error-free and meets quality standards.
- Engaging additional functional areas as needed when more complex or detail-oriented proofreading is required.
- Presenting
- Presenting copy concepts and final deliverables to internal teams and client representatives.
- Additional responsibilities and supporting tasks, as necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and tactics.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as content management systems, SEO software, and website analytics tools preferred but not required.
- The ability to proactively seek out ways to improve your craft for you and the agency.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, and digital marketing.
Other Requirements:
- Occasional travel as necessary.
