Account Manager

The Account Manager plays a key role in building and maintaining client relationships while supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of integrated marketing and advertising campaigns. Acting as a liaison between clients and cross-functional agency teams, this position ensures that campaigns are strategically aligned with client objectives and goals. The Account Manager may serve as a coach to associate account managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management
    • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns, providing guidance and insights to ensure alignment with client goals and objectives.
    • Serving as a main point of client contact for the agency, building trust and ensuring satisfaction by collaborating with clients and internal agency teams on key projects and campaigns.
  • Client Marketing
    • Driving account growth by identifying new opportunities and delivering measurable results aligned with client business goals.
    • Assisting in the development and execution of marketing campaigns including digital, print, and social media initiatives.
    • Providing clients with regular updates on project status and campaign performance.
  • Client Communication
    • Helping translate client feedback into actionable next steps for cross-functional teams.
    • Scheduling internal and client meetings, including documenting and sending action items to ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget.
    • Drafting and reviewing client-facing materials, such as reports, presentations, and campaign updates.
    • Helping manage budgets and timelines to ensure projects stay on track and within scope, including monthly invoicing.
    • Staying informed about client industries, competitors, and market trends to offer actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Coaching Associate Account Manager(s), fostering collaboration and professional development.
  • Additional responsibilities and supporting tasks as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated success in building client relationships, managing expectations, and delivering value-added marketing solutions.
  • Can leveraging a deep understanding of industry-specific practices and trends to tailor marketing strategies to meet the unique needs of clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients/projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project execution.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO, search, and email marketing, as well as traditional advertising disciplines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Can effectively present recommended strategies and marketing communication plans.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide internal and client teams through projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in account management, marketing, or a related role, preferably within an agency setting
  • Experience using project management software (Asana preferred).

Other Requirements:

  • Overnight travel may be required 1-2 times per year for client meetings and/or industry conferences.
